Integrated Photonics Innovation Mission to Canada
31.10 - 04.11.2022Are you active in the field of Integrated Photonics? And do you want to explore the opportunities and developments of this key technology in Canada (Quebec and Ontario)? Then join this innovation mission to Canada from October 30 to November 4.
Integrated photonics is an important key technology in both the Netherlands and Canada. In order to contribute to solving all kinds of social challenges, both countries are investing heavily in the further development of this technology. Together PhotonDelta and RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) invite you to join the ‘Photonics Innovation Mission’ to Canada.
The Dutch photonics industry is a global leader. As a result, Canadian companies and knowledge institutions are looking for Dutch knowledge. Join the innovation mission and discover the collaboration opportunities with companies and institutes in Canada.

For who?
The innovation mission is of interest to both professionals from industries and knowledge institutions that are active in the field of integrated photonics.
Objectives of the mission
• Exploring and finding potential partners for joint research, development and commercialization of technological innovations in the field of photonics;
• Intensifying cooperation between the Canadian and Dutch business community and knowledge institutions;
• Linking tech and entrepreneurial talent from Canada and the Netherlands;
• Finding concrete business leads.
The program of the mission
The program is designed in close collaboration between RVO, PhotonDelta, and Brainport Eindhoven.
As part of your registration, the RVO will contact you to collect your personal goals. In this way, the needs of participants are taken into account in the development of the program.

These days take place in Ottawa and Toronto. There will be a visit to the National Research Council and a networking event in conjunction with Canadian Photonic Industry Consortium (CIPC).
The costs
The costs for participation are € 250,- per person.
This includes: participation in the collective programme, transfers to and from program components, lunch and dinners if stated in the program.
Participation excludes: travel and accommodation costs and all individual costs. We aim to cover travel costs in Canada from the available budget for the innovation mission. However, it is still possible that a (small) additional contribution will be requested for this.
Registration
Would you like to participate in this innovation mission? Then register before 31 July 2022 via the online registration form.
Final participation depends on the number of places available. We also look at how well your technology fits within the substantive focus and purpose of this mission. Your registration and the automatic confirmation of receipt therefore do not mean that you have been automatically admitted. You will receive a final confirmation of your participation after the registration period has closed.
Covid-19 clause
In the week of October 3, 2022, the organization will make a decision about continuing this innovation mission. This is based on the then current travel advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the applicable regulations regarding travel and the local situation.
In case of postponement or cancellation, we do not charge participants costs. Even after the decision to continue the mission, the organization reserves the right to cancel the innovation mission in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Even then we do not charge any participant costs.
