Innovation Mission to Germany – Integrated Photonics & Advanced Packaging

From 28 September to 2 October 2026, the European photonics and semiconductor community will come together for an Innovation Mission to Germany, focused on Integrated Photonics, Advanced Packaging, and Heterogeneous Integration. PhotonDelta will be attending this mission and invites ecosystem partners to join the delegation for a week of industrial engagement, knowledge exchange and collaboration building.

The mission will take participants to Saxony and Berlin–Brandenburg, two regions that play a central role in Germany’s semiconductor and photonics landscape. Saxony is Europe’s largest semiconductor manufacturing hub, producing approximately one in every three chips made in Europe, while Berlin–Brandenburg hosts a strong concentration of photonics companies, research institutes and innovation policy organisations, including the well‑established OptecBB photonics cluster.

This mission is particularly relevant for organisations working in integrated photonics, advanced packaging, heterogeneous integration, and related semiconductor technologies who are interested in exploring collaboration and market opportunities in Germany. Alongside the formal visits, joint transfers and selected networking dinners are included to encourage informal exchanges and long‑term relationship building among participants.

Practical information

• Dates: 28 September – 2 October 2026
• Participation fee: €350 per person (including joint programme, transfers and select meals)
• Registration deadline: Friday, 22 May 2026
• Participation: Limited number of places, with a preference for one representative per organisation

Please note that registration does not guarantee a place. Final participation is confirmed after the registration deadline, based on available places and fit with the mission’s scope.
