SEMICON Taiwan 2025

10.09 - 12.09.2025

SEMICON Taiwan celebrates its 30th edition in 2025, highlighting global collaboration in semiconductors.

SEMICON Taiwan 2025 is one of Asia’s premier semiconductor industry events, taking place 10–12 September 2025 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (TaiNEX) Halls 1 & 2. This 30th edition of the trade fair is held under the theme “Leading with Collaboration. Innovating with the World.” – underscoring its role as a key meeting point for the international semiconductor community. Companies from across the global microelectronics value chain will convene in Taipei to showcase innovations, exchange knowledge, and forge partnerships in Asia’s vibrant tech market.

Photonics Focus at SEMICON Taiwan 2025

Integrated photonics will feature prominently in the SEMICON Taiwan 2025 program. Notably, the event includes dedicated photonics and advanced packaging conferences, such as:

  • Silicon Photonics Global Summit – A full-day conference on Monday, 8 September 2025 (9:00–17:05). This summit gathers experts to discuss the latest in silicon photonic integrated circuits (PICs), their applications, and ecosystem developments.
  • Heterogeneous Integration Global Summit (HIGS) – A multi-day forum co-located with SEMICON Taiwan, running from 9-12 September 2025. Spread over three days, HIGS explores advances in advanced semiconductor packaging and heterogeneous integration techniques that combine photonic and electronic components.

These specialised summits highlight cutting-edge topics at the intersection of photonics and semiconductors. From silicon photonics for high-speed data centres and 5G networks to new chiplet and packaging technologies for photonic-electronic integration, attendees can delve into the innovations driving the next generation of microchips. Industry leaders and researchers will share insights on trends such as photonic integrated circuits, optical interconnects, and the role of heterogeneous integration in enabling faster, more energy-efficient systems. This focus on photonics reflects the growing importance of photonic chips in the semiconductor roadmap and Taiwan’s interest in emerging photonics technologies.

PhotonDelta at SEMICON Taiwan 2025

PhotonDelta will be present at SEMICON Taiwan 2025 to strengthen ties between the Dutch photonics ecosystem and the Asian semiconductor industry. Last year, PhotonDelta co-led a Dutch innovation mission to Taiwan coinciding with SEMICON Taiwan 2024, which brought key players of the Netherlands’ photonic chip industry to engage with Taiwan’s semiconductor sector. Building on that success, PhotonDelta is continuing its outreach in 2025.

This year, PhotonDelta’s CEO Eelko Brinkhoff and Business Developer Asia Florian Federer will be attending SEMICON Taiwan 2025. They will be on the ground in Taipei to meet with companies and stakeholders interested in integrated photonics. Rather than hosting a booth, the PhotonDelta team will take part in the conference sessions and networking events, and plans to visit Taiwanese companies that are exploring or adopting photonic integrated circuits. By engaging in these face-to-face discussions, PhotonDelta aims to showcase the capabilities of the Dutch photonics ecosystem and identify opportunities for collaboration in technology development, manufacturing, and investment. If you are interested in integrated photonics or looking to connect with the PhotonDelta delegation during the show, be sure to reach out and arrange a meeting. PhotonDelta is eager to exchange ideas on how photonic chip technology can contribute to mutual growth in the Netherlands, Taiwan, and beyond.

Speaking Engagement: Eelko Brinkhoff at NExT Forum

We’re pleased to share that Eelko Brinkhoff, CEO of PhotonDelta, will be speaking at the Power and Compound Semiconductor Forum | NExT Forum during SEMICON Taiwan 2025. The session will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 08:30 to 17:00 (registration begins at 08:30), at Room 701F, 7F, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2. The forum’s theme is “Power & Optoelectronics: Unlocking the Future of AI”, and it is advised by the SEMI Power and Compound Semiconductor Committee. Eelko will share insights into how photonic chip technology is shaping the AI landscape and what collaborative pathways exist between the Netherlands and Taiwan.

Join the Netherlands Pavilion & Partner Opportunities

Dutch companies and partners in the photonics/semiconductor domain have a great opportunity to increase their visibility at SEMICON Taiwan through the Netherlands Pavilion. High Tech NL is once again organising a Dutch Pavilion at the exhibition, offering a prominent collective presence for Netherlands-based firms on the show floor. Participating in this pavilion provides strong collective visibility along with several benefits, including dedicated booth space, access to networking activities, joint promotion, and full logistical support. It’s an ideal way for companies to showcase their expertise as part of a unified Dutch high-tech showcase in front of a global audience in Taipei.

There are still spots available in the Netherlands Pavilion as of now, but space is limited and will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Companies interested in joining the Dutch Pavilion at SEMICON Taiwan 2025 should contact High Tech NL for registration details and secure their participation while slots remain. Additionally, PhotonDelta encourages any of its ecosystem partners planning to attend SEMICON Taiwan to get in touch. Whether you wish to join our team in visiting local companies, coordinate meetings, or simply connect during the event, we welcome collaboration.

SEMICON Taiwan 2025 promises to be an exciting event at the heart of the semiconductor industry’s global crossroads. From the bustling expo halls and technical forums to targeted gatherings like the Silicon Photonics and Heterogeneous Integration summits, the week offers rich insights and networking opportunities. PhotonDelta looks forward to engaging with partners old and new in Taipei this September – see you at SEMICON Taiwan 2025!
