Scope

The project aims to develop Point-of-Care technologies for non- invasive health monitoring through the skin, eyes, or nails and to develop biomolecular biosensors for biosensing in urine, gas, or intestines.

Main result achieved

Holst Centre has developed novel photonic sensing solutions in the speckle-based sensing program, which enable non-invasive detection of cardiovascular biomarkers such as heart rate (variability) and respiration rate. Additionally, a patent has also been filed for an ingestible sensor designed to measure mucins in the gut and urine.
