MantiSpectra releases ChipSense™ 2.0-16α: The Hyperspectral Sensor Chip

02 September 2025

Eindhoven, The Netherlands – 1 September 2025

MantiSpectra announces today the alpha release of ChipSense™ 2.0-16, an innovative spectral sensing component. Smaller, cheaper and more accurate than its predecessor, it enables material analysis and health insights for high-volume markets.

Deep Insights, Smarter Automation

With its small 4×4 mm footprint and enhanced selectivity, ChipSense™ 2.0-16 unlocks measurement of biomarkers inaccessible in current wearables, new smart functions in home appliances, and quality control in industrial settings.

“ChipSense™ 2.0-16 is the first product manufactured by our supply chain partners, marking MantiSpectra’s transition from a technology company to a fabless, scalable, and reliable component supplier,” said Maurangelo Petruzzella, CEO of MantiSpectra. “This release enables consumer and professional solution providers to integrate real-time material analysis and health insights into disruptive products.”

One Chip, Endless Possibilities

ChipSense™ 2.0-16 integrates 16 photodetectors, each with 4 multi-peak responses spanning 550 to 1700 nm, the key region for chemometric analysis. These rich “spectral fingerprints,” combined with AI modelling, make it a foundational element for applications where (bio)material classification and quantification are essential.

Get Started Today

ChipSense™ 2.0-16 is now available in its alpha release, offering early access in limited quantities ahead of full production planned for the end of 2025. Customers can already evaluate ChipSense™ 2.0-16 for their specific use cases using MantiSpectra’s readily available development kit platforms.
