PhotonDelta Foundation is looking for a senior Ecosystem Manager to help us to accelerate the integrated photonics industry in the Netherlands.
Who is PhotonDelta?
As a pioneer in the manipulation of light and with a bright history of innovation, The Netherlands is at the forefront of the groundbreaking integrated photonics industry. PhotonDelta was created by mandate of the Dutch government to support and accelerate the emerging Dutch integrated photonics industry. PhotonDelta builds an ecosystem of organizations that can design, develop and manufacture world-class innovative solutions based on integrated photonic technology. Within the ecosystem, PhotonDelta actively connects with the EU, Dutch government, similar photonics ecosystems in Europe, North America and Asia and leads and participates in programs and projects with (international) companies as well as the academic world.
Why does the world need photonic chips?
The way we live, work, and relate to one another is profoundly changing, requiring us to rebalance demands for better lifestyles with the world’s limited resources. From ecological agriculture that can feed the growing world population to the advanced health monitoring systems enabling continuum of care, all backed by a growing appetite for data within our 24/7 connected lives. Addressing fundamental societal changes requires radically different systems than those we are using today. Photonic Integrated Chips is a key enabling technology that is revolutionizing a wide range of industries. By using light instead of electricity, photonic integrated circuits can sense, capture, process and transmit data in a cheaper, faster, lighter, greener, more robust, and reliable way.
As our Ecosystem Manager you are responsible for strategy and execution of the international positioning and expansion of the PhotonDelta ecosystem. You will maintain existing and set up new collaborations with and between ecosystem parties based on technology and product roadmaps. You maintain contact and build new mutually beneficial alliances with other relevant ecosystems, national and European programs such as AI, quantum, cybersecurity, robotics and 5G. Further intensifying our collaboration with universities is part of your job. Mobilizing public financing options, closely following opportunities in European and (inter)national innovation agendas, coordinating preparation of proposals together with companies and institutions is an important task. You will represent the PhotonDelta ecosystem at trade fairs and conferences. People will know how to find you as the point of contact for our ecosystem. You will work closely with our Program Manager and Marketing and Communications manager
